Deliveries
Orders placed with Akureum are dispatched through FedEx, UPS, and Registered/Insured Mail after payment has cleared. Each parcel is completely insured for the worth of the goods within, and delivery may call for a signature.
Shipment of Purchased Item(s): After receiving and verifying good money in full payment of the purchase price, Akureum shall use commercially reasonable efforts to send metals between five to fourteen (5-14) business days after receiving good monies. However, due to market volatility and supply, a customer's purchase may not be sent until forty-five (45) working days after the receipt of valid funds. Customers understand that it takes a minimum of twelve (12) days for personal cheques to clear Akureum's bank account. Delivery to the trustee will take place as specified in the applicable account documentation if a customer's purchase is for a deferred portfolio, such as an IRA or 401K.
Items Missing or Stolen in Transit: Akureum offers comprehensive insurance coverage for all precious metal shipments. When an item that a customer has bought from Akureum is found to have been lost or stolen while being delivered to the customer by a common carrier, Akureum will, in its sole discretion, either reimburse the customer the entire purchase price for the lost item(s) or replace the item(s). Customer acknowledges that this is their only and exclusive recourse for any damages brought on by goods being stolen or lost in transit. However, Akureum will not assume liability for any loss if a customer gives any carriers or delivery services instructions to leave packages unattended or if a client has instructed them to leave the customer's item with another person or drop-off site.
